FAQs & Trouble Shooting Tips

 

All descriptions refer to a horizontal orientation of the tablet with the MENU/BACK button on the right hand side of the tablet face.

FAQs:

How to turn it on:

Press and hold the power button for several seconds in order to turn the tablet on.
The power button is located on the far right of the top side.

How to turn it off:

Press and hold the power button for several seconds. A menu will appear on the screen. Select the POWER OFF option to turn the tablet off.
A good way to save battery life is to  make sure you are actually turning off the device and not just putting it into sleep mode. If you tap the power button once it will turn off the screen and be in sleep mode but the tablet is actually still on and using battery power.

How to connect to WIFI:

To connect to a WIFI network navigate to the APP MENU and select the SETTINGS icon.  It might be a good idea to move this icon to the home screen (see instructions below) as you will probably need to access it frequently.

The WIFI selection is at the very top of the settings menu. There is an ON/OFF slider to the right. Be sure that it is slid into the ON position. Once it is on the tablet should automatically SCAN for available networks. Or you can press the SCAN button located in the upper right hand corner of the screen.

Select the network you want to connect to. You will be prompted to enter a password if the network is secured, if it is not secured then it will start connecting at this point.

While you are in the SETTINGS menu, this would be a good time to explore the options on the left. You can scroll up and down through the menu by dragging your finger or stylus up and down to scroll the available selections.

How to set the date and time:

Navigate to the APP MENU and select the SETTINGS icon.  It might be a good idea to move this icon to the home screen (see instructions below) as you will probably need to access it frequently.

Scroll down the menu located on the left hand side. You can do this by sliding your finger or stylus up or down to move it. Scroll to the bottom to select DATE & TIME. Once it is selected uncheck AUTOMATIC DATE & TIME so you can manually input the info by selecting either SET DATE or SET TIME.

How to find all the Apps:

The app menu button is located in the upper right hand corner of the home screen. It looks like a grid of small white squares. Press it to open up a menu that will display all of the applications installed on the tablet. You can drag your finger to the left or right to reveal another page should there be enough apps installed to fill other pages.

How to move an App to the Home screen:

Pick any icon in the application menu and press and hold your finger on it for a few seconds. The background will shift to the home screen but the app icon will remain under your finger. You can now drag and drop it where you please. You can repeat the same process to move apps to different positions on the home screen screen.

Troubleshooting:

If you are experience any issues with your tablet we recommend by starting off with a factory data reset. Performing this simple procedure often solves many of the issues that can occur. From the home screen go to SETTINGS, scroll down to BACK UP AND RESET the select FACTORY DATA RESET. This will cause the tablet to shut down and reboot. It will take several minutes to reboot.

Sometimes when you do a factory data reset a plus sign + or cross hair will appear in the screen once it reboots. Use your finger or the stylus to press in the center of the cross hair. Once you press the center of the cross hair another one will likely appear. Repeat the process until the cross hairs stop appearing and the home screen loads up. Congratulations! You’ve just calibrated your touch screen.

My tablet will not connect to WIFI:

Many times a simple factory data reset will fix this issue. Go to SETTINGS, scroll down to BACK UP AND RESET then select FACTORY DATA RESET. This will cause the tablet to shut down and reboot. It will take several minutes to reboot but once it does the WIFI connection should be back to normal.

(If that didn’t work try the steps below)

Often times a WEP or WPA security password will keep the tablet from connecting to a WIFI network. You can login into your WIFI router and disable the password requirement to see if the tablet will connect without the security.

The touchscreen will not respond:

First, please check the screen for a circle with a lock on it. If you see it, slide it to unlock the screen. If that doesn’t work or you don’t see the circle please try the following:

Connect a USB mouse to the tablet via the standard USB port. Use the mouse to navigate to the SETTINGS menu . Under the settings menu navigate to BACK UP AND RESET then to FACTORY DATA RESET.

As the tablet resets please disconnect the USB mouse.

Once the tablet finishes loading the touch screen should be working properly.
